Through American Eyes: Religion and Society in Oman, Photographs by Mr. Edward Grazda

December 9, 2008

World Youth Alliance is celebrating the culture of Oman through photography. This fundraising event at WYA Headquarters in New York will serve as an opportunity to build new relationships with the diplomatic core and the Middle Eastern community, as well as showcase the other work that WYA does. Other invited guests include members of the Institute of American values and special donor friends of the organization.

During the event, Dr. Habib Malik will give a presentation regarding the 60th anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, and current WYA interns from Lebanon will share their personal experience as members of WYA. This cultural exchange will contribute to the growth of WYA in the Middle East and, more importantly, will promote the dignity of the human person which is the primary mission of the World Youth Alliance.

Read some camper reviews:

"WYA camp was great! I would encourage anyone to go there. When I first heard about it, I thought that a camp with a message would be terribly boring... But did they ever prove me wrong! It was a blast I had so much fun and everyone there was great, I was intellectually stimulated and then I would go out and have a great time playing ultimate Frisbee."      --Peter

"The WYA Summer Camp was inarguably one of the best experiences of my life! The educational and intriguing lectures, community-building activities, numerous fun-filled projects, and genuine counselors and campers have left a lasting impression on me. Words cannot describe how grateful I am for having been given the opportunity to become a member of such a magnificent coalition. WYA's valiant attributes (dignity, solidarity, life) have become my guidelines for living."    –-Jocelyn
